Intimate Glamour

In mid February, I was lucky enough to schedule a session at Sarasota's Codding Cottage for an intimate shoot with a friend of mine.  We had assistance with Hair and Make-up and borrowed a bunch of fancy clothes from a designer boutique store in town.  We started the day in a typical oversized men's white dress shirt.  These ended up being my favorite photos of the day.

Pretty things

What is it about pretty things?  I always feel like I'm going to ruin them so I don't use them.  Do you use your fancy China, or do you fear you will chip a piece?  I have these beautiful journals that were given to me as gifts, yet I somehow feel like I'll ruin them with my poor penmanship or the crappy feeling that might find it's way onto the page.  I think I'll take a journal on my next trip to California.  Maybe It will help me to start writing... here we go!

Expecting

I had the honor of spending some time in the home of a new friend.  I enjoyed watching her interact with her "belly".  this shoot was all about the belly and who is inside... baby should be arriving any day now... Congratulations to the new Mom & Dad.

While on a trip to Georgia recently, I imagined in my mind all of the "Country" photos I would be taking.  Although I found myself in the middle of nowhere, I didn't quite find the images I was imagining in my head.  On a Saturday afternoon we took off for a drive to do some Antique Shopping, I decided to turn off the main road to look for what was floating in my head.  I kept seeing these beautiful Purple flowers, but never in a place I could safely stop the car.... until this little road... I pulled the car off onto the shoulder and got out... The grass and thistle like plants were sticking into my bare legs... I think I got a few bites from who knows what as well.. but I just loved the colors of the butterfly on these purple flowers...
